Today, I asked this question: Avoiding conflict when showing my family my new name

I added the lgbt+ on it with the following explanation:

I put the lgbt+ tag because changing name is a common issue among the trans community.

A moment later, the tag was removed and, when I asked in chat, people seemed to have mixed feeling about it.

I do believe the lgbt+ was relevant because trans people often have this kind of problem and having this question tag like that would help them find it.

Also, I wanted to use it even though I wasn't ready to say that I beling to the trans community (I later reconsider because I really wanted to use the lgbt+ tag and because someone told me adding this information might give me better answer).

However, the question remains: Should have this tag been removed in the first place?
