Today, I asked this question: Avoiding conflict when showing my family my new name
I added the lgbt+ on it with the following explanation:
I put the lgbt+ tag because changing namenames is a common issue among the trans community.
A moment later, the tag was removed and, when I asked in chat, people seemed to have mixed feelingfeelings about it.
I do believe the lgbt+ tag was relevant because trans people often have this kind of problemproblems and having this question tagtagged like that would help them find it so they could give their advice.
Also, I wanted to use it even though I wasn't ready to say that I belingbelong to the trans community (I later reconsiderreconsidered because I really wanted to use the lgbt+ tag and because someone told me adding this information might give me better answeranswers).
However, the question remains: Should have this tag been removed in the first place?
